Description
Bukonzo Organic in the Ruwenzori Mountains supports farmers in overcoming environmental challenges. They teach sustainable farming practices, invest in improving farmers’ lives with cookstoves, tree planting, and beekeeping. This coffee went through a Swiss Water Process (a natural decaffeinating process involving using caffeinated water to decaffeinate the beans) to be decaffeinated. It is also Fair Trade Organic.
Even if you don’t like decaf coffee this coffee is worth a shot – it is probably the best decaf I have ever tried.
Tasting Notes:
Malty flavor and body, subtle vanilla and cinnamon tones, gentle lime acidity. The malt plus lime cuts through cream and sugar deliciously, and it also stands alone well. This coffee is medium roasted in order to balance the body with the acidity.
